The Club 3D CAC-1587 is a 9.84-foot active USB-C-to-HDMI cable for connecting a USB-C device with DisplayPort Alt Mode to an HDMI display, supporting up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz with HDR10+; it suits users connecting compatible laptops or PCs to high-resolution TVs and monitors.
Recommended For
- Laptop users connecting a USB-C DP 1.4 Alt Mode output to an HDMI TV or monitor for up to 4K at 120 Hz or 8K at 60 Hz, when the host and display support the required modes.
- PC gamers who want to connect a compatible USB-C video output to an HDMI 2.1 display for high-refresh-rate gaming, with the actual resolution and refresh rate depending on the PC, display, and settings.
- People routing a USB-C video source to a more distant HDMI display; the 3 m (9.84 ft) cable provides more reach than a short adapter.
- Users upgrading a compatible USB-C DP Alt Mode computer to an HDMI display that supports HDR, 4K120, or 8K60, without adding a separate power adapter for the cable.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- Connect a compatible USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode laptop to an HDMI TV for watching videos or sharing the screen; the cable carries video and audio to the TV in one connection.
- Use a compatible laptop or desktop for gaming on an HDMI 2.1 TV or monitor; with supported source hardware and display settings, the connection can deliver up to 4K at 120 Hz for smoother motion.
- Connect a compatible USB-C laptop to an HDMI projector for a presentation; the 3 m cable provides some reach between the computer and the display, while the projector and source determine the available resolution.
- Connect a compatible USB-C computer to an 8K HDMI display for high-resolution desktop viewing; 8K at 60 Hz requires the computer, graphics drivers, and display to support the needed video mode and DSC.
