The Nippon Labs MHDMI-6 is a 6-foot HDMI male-to-Mini HDMI male cable for connecting compatible Mini HDMI equipment to an HDMI device, such as a display. Its HDMI 1.3 design supports up to 10.2 Gbps and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p and beyond, making it suitable for users who need a direct digital audio/video connection.
Recommended For
- Camera owners with a Type-C mini HDMI output who want to play photos or recorded video on a nearby TV or HDMI monitor; the camera must support HDMI playback.
- Camcorder users connecting a mini HDMI camera output to a standard HDMI television for viewing recorded footage, provided the camcorder has a Type-C mini HDMI port.
- Creators using a compatible camera as a 720p or 1080p HDMI source for a capture device or monitor, when the camera provides the required video output and the setup is within cable reach.
- Users connecting older or other portable AV equipment with a Type-C mini HDMI output to a standard HDMI display in a nearby setup; the selected cable is 6 feet long.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- To review photos or play back videos from a camera or camcorder on an HDTV, connect its mini HDMI output to the TV’s standard HDMI input; the camera’s media appears on the larger screen, subject to the camera’s playback and output settings.
- While filming, connect a compatible camera to an HDMI field monitor to view its live output on a larger display; the camera must support HDMI output, and what appears depends on its output settings.
- To send camera footage to an external HDMI recorder, connect a camera with mini HDMI output to the recorder’s HDMI input; recording still depends on the camera’s supported output format and the recorder.
- For a livestream or video call, connect a compatible camera’s mini HDMI output to an HDMI capture device, then connect the capture device to the computer; the cable alone does not add capture hardware or guarantee a clean camera feed.
