ASUS ChromeBook 12.2 WUXGA(WU) Touch(GF2) MT8186G 8GB 64GB Chrome GREY Model CZ1204CM2A-YZ84T

The ASUS CZ1204CM2A-YZ84T is a 12.2-inch touchscreen Chromebook with an 8-core MediaTek 520 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage, suited to students and everyday users working mainly in ChromeOS and cloud-based apps.

Recommended For

• K–12 students who carry a laptop between classes and need a school-focused Chromebook with a touchscreen and protective design.
• Students who use web lessons, online research, documents, and video classes as their main schoolwork; testing of another Kompanio 520 Chromebook found it suited to everyday browsing and document writing.
• Learners who want to use touch input for interactive lessons, on-screen activities, or occasional handwritten notes alongside keyboard work.
• Cloud-first users who mostly work in browser-based apps and stream media, rather than keeping large projects or media libraries on the laptop.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For schoolwork such as researching in Chrome, writing in Google Docs, and checking class materials, it fits a web-first routine; keep workloads moderate rather than expecting desktop-class multitasking.
• For video lessons or remote class meetings, it can handle typical ChromeOS conferencing and classwork; the built-in 720p camera is suited to basic calls, not high-detail video.
• For watching YouTube or streaming video between tasks, it is suited to everyday playback; it is a better match for casual viewing than demanding creative or gaming workloads.
• In a classroom or study group, the touchscreen lets users tap through lessons, web pages, and presentations directly; this is a laptop-style touchscreen, not a 360-degree tablet hinge.
• For introductory STEM activities or lightweight Android apps, it can support common education-focused tasks; demanding apps and heavy simultaneous workloads may feel slow.
