The Brentwood MPI-54 is a 1000-watt non-stick steam iron with adjustable heat and dry, steam, and spray settings, suited to everyday clothing care and occasional pressing of curtains, drapes, and linens.

Recommended For

Households ironing a few everyday garments at a time who want steam, spray, and dry settings plus adjustable heat for common fabrics.
People who occasionally need to smooth a hanging garment or freshen curtains using the iron’s vertical steam function.
Users who prefer a straightforward household iron with a visible water level and simple temperature and steam controls.

Real-World Use Scenarios

When getting a cotton or linen shirt ready to wear, use the higher heat setting and steam; the iron is designed to smooth creases during regular garment ironing.
For a stubborn crease in clothing, dampen the area with the spray function before ironing; the added moisture can help smooth the crease.
When pressing clothes made from different fabrics, check the garment label and adjust the heat for the material; the manual recommends using the lower temperature for blended fabrics.
To freshen a hanging garment or smooth curtains without laying them on an ironing board, use the vertical steam burst; the manual identifies both as uses for this function.
For items that do not need steam, such as a quick touch-up, switch to dry ironing; the steam control can be turned off for ironing without steam.
