The Avid Education AE-55 is a wired stereo headset with a noise-canceling microphone and 3.5 mm connection, suited to students and educators for classroom learning, school testing, and online communication.
Recommended For
- Students taking online lessons or standardized assessments who need a wired headset with a boom microphone for listening and spoken responses.
- Classroom or computer-lab users who want a simple 3.5 mm connection and a durable, wired headset for recurring school use.
- Remote workers who spend time on voice calls and want a rotating boom microphone that can be positioned on either side.
- People listening or speaking at a fixed desk who prefer a direct wired connection and do not want to manage headset charging.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- During a school assessment that requires listening and spoken answers, a student can follow audio through the headset and respond through its boom microphone; the 3.5 mm plug needs to match the device’s headset jack.
- For online lessons or digital schoolwork at home, a student can listen to instructional audio and speak during interactive activities without using separate headphones and a microphone.
- In a classroom where several students are using devices at once, a student can listen to their own lesson and speak when needed; the earpieces offer some passive noise reduction, not complete isolation from classroom sound.
- For a video call with a teacher, classmate, or remote-work team, the boom microphone lets the user speak while listening through the headset; its noise-canceling microphone is intended to reduce surrounding noise picked up during speech.
- During a longer study session, the adjustable headband and padded, tilting earpieces help the user position the headset for listening; fit and comfort can vary, especially for larger wearers.
