Reviews
The Ring Outdoor Cam (Stick Up Cam) Battery, formerly known as Stick Up Cam, is a wireless security camera built to protect your home inside or out, with the flexibility to place it on a flat surface or mount it to a wall. A 1080p HD sensor captures sharp, clear video with Live View streaming and Color Night Vision, so you can identify visitors, vehicles, and activity even after dark rather than relying on grainy black-and-white footage. A wide field of view, 130 degrees diagonal with 110 degrees horizontal and 57 degrees vertical, covers driveways, yards, and entryways from a single, well-placed camera. Advanced Motion Detection sends real-time, motion-activated notifications straight to your phone the moment something happens, and Customizable Motion Zones let you focus alerts on the areas that matter most, cutting down on notifications from passing cars or trees blowing in the wind. Two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you see, hear, and speak with anyone on your property directly through the Ring app, whether checking on a delivery or addressing an unexpected visitor. Power comes from a Quick Release Battery Pack that detaches in seconds for convenient recharging via the included Micro USB cable, and for continuous power without manual recharging, an optional Solar Panel can be added separately to keep the battery topped off using direct sunlight. The camera connects over simple 802.11 b/g/n WiFi at 2.4GHz, making setup fast even in locations without a wired power source nearby. An integrated mounting base and stand with an adjustable angle gives you the freedom to set the Outdoor Cam freestanding on a shelf or ledge, or mount it permanently to a wall using the included screws and wall anchors, whichever suits the location best. Built to operate reliably from -5F to 122F and weather resistant by design, this 3rd generation Outdoor Cam is engineered to withstand rain, heat, and cold without missing a moment.

Ring Outdoor Cam (Stick Up Cam) Battery is a wireless 1080p outdoor security camera with color night vision, motion alerts, and two-way talk, suited to people who want to monitor and speak with visitors from their phone without a wired installation.
Recommended For
- Renters or homeowners who need to monitor an outdoor spot without running a power cable and want a camera they can position on a wall or freestanding.
- People already using Ring who want to check a porch, side entrance, or small yard from their phone and speak with visitors through two-way audio.
- Users who want motion-triggered alerts for a low- to moderate-activity area and are comfortable recharging the battery occasionally or adding the optional solar panel.
- Households that want a flexible indoor-or-outdoor camera for occasional check-ins, rather than a permanently powered camera tied to one location.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- Mount the camera near a front porch or side entrance where running power is inconvenient; motion alerts and live view let you check who is approaching without being at the door.
- Use it to check a driveway, garage approach, or side yard; motion notifications can flag activity in the chosen area, while adjustable zones help reduce alerts from irrelevant parts of the view.
- Place it where visitors or delivery workers may stop, then use two-way talk in the Ring app to respond or give instructions when you can’t get to the door.
- Set it up temporarily in a spot such as a rental entryway, shed, or garage without a nearby outlet; the battery-powered, adjustable design makes placement simpler, though the battery will need recharging.
- Use it to watch a garden or yard where pets or wildlife pass through; motion-triggered recordings and alerts can show activity, but frequent movement may mean more notifications and battery charging.
- Monitor an outdoor area after dark, such as a porch or gate; night vision helps show activity in low light, while color night vision is most useful when there is some ambient light.
