LOADING...
The ASUS NUCIOAES0CR is a storage expansion accessory for the tall ASUS NUC 15 Pro, converting its M.2 2242 storage slot to support one M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe SSD. It suits NUC 15 Pro owners who want to add compatible storage for business, creative, or AI workloads.
Recommended For
- ASUS NUC 15 Pro NUC15CRH Tall owners who want to fit an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD in the system’s existing M.2 2242 slot, such as when reusing a 2280 drive they already own.
- NUC 15 Pro Tall users who want a second internal SSD for separating the operating system from work files, project media, or other local data while keeping the primary drive installed.
- Business or IT teams standardizing on M.2 2280 NVMe drives who need to configure compatible NUC 15 Pro Tall systems with that longer drive format in the secondary slot.
- NUC 15 Pro Tall users whose existing 2242 secondary drive is too small for their needs and who want to replace it with a compatible 2280 NVMe SSD up to 2TB.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- When the NUC 15 Pro Tall’s original SSD is getting crowded, add a second drive for project files, downloads, or media while keeping the operating system and apps on the primary drive. This adds local storage without replacing the existing SSD.
- For a home-office NUC used for documents, browsing, and video calls, use the added SSD to keep larger work files or frequently used local content on the PC. The extra drive can ease space pressure without changing the everyday-work setup.
- For video recording or editing on the NUC, put footage and other large working files on the second SSD so they take up less room on the system drive. It provides more internal storage, though it does not by itself make editing faster.
- For a NUC 15 Pro Tall used as a small home-lab or server PC, a second SSD can provide another internal location for data alongside the system drive. A community owner describes using the NUC for a Proxmox server setup; actual storage layout depends on the user’s configuration.
