Newegg Appoints New Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

--Harry Amsden Joins Newegg to Manage Ongoing Financial Growth--

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., April 23, 2012 -- Newegg Inc., the leading electronics-focused e-retailer in the United States, today announced the appointment of Harry Amsden as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Newegg North America. As a seasoned financial executive with 30 years of experience, Amsden will help develop Newegg’s overall corporate strategy and oversee all of the company’s financial operations.

Amsden has extensive experience in areas such as strategic and operational business analysis, financial planning, financial reporting and risk management. Prior to joining Newegg, Amsden held a variety of operational and financial management positions in the Tribune Company organization. As a senior vice president of financial operations, he was responsible for overseeing financial reporting and planning for a $2 billion revenue segment of Tribune Company.

Amsden’s previous positions at Tribune Company also included vice president of corporate compliance and risk management, assistant controller and director of financial reporting and planning. Prior to that, Amsden was the vice president of finance and administration at Everyday Learning, an educational publishing subsidiary of Tribune Company, and controller at the Orlando Sentinel, a Central Florida newspaper. He began his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen.
