The HP OfficeJet Pro 9730 is a wired and wireless color multifunction inkjet printer for offices and workgroups that need printing, copying, and scanning, with listed print speeds of up to 34 ppm in both mono and color.

Recommended For

• Home-office and small-business users who regularly print color reports, charts, flyers, or other documents on tabloid-size paper and want printing, copying, and scanning in one device.
• Small teams that print on both sides of documents and need to scan or copy multi-page paperwork with an automatic document feeder.
• Work-from-home users who share a printer among computers and mobile devices and need wired Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi printing.
• Users who need occasional oversized flatbed scans or copies of tabloid-size originals, rather than relying on the document feeder for every oversized page.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• When a home office or small business needs to print floor plans, diagrams, or large spreadsheets, it can print them on 11 × 17-inch paper so details and columns are easier to view without shrinking everything to letter size.
• When someone needs a digital copy of an oversized paper document, such as a tabloid-size diagram, the flatbed can scan the original rather than requiring it to be reduced to letter size first.
• For routine office paperwork, such as invoices or reports, users can print sharp black text and color documents, with automatic two-sided printing helping reduce manual page flipping.
• When a small office needs to copy or digitize a stack of standard-size paperwork, the document feeder can handle multi-page jobs; the 9730e review reports that it supports two-sided scanning, while noting that its feeder is for smaller documents rather than 11 × 17 originals.
• For occasional wide-format color materials at home or in a small office, such as presentations or project visuals, it can print larger color documents in-house; it is less suited to frequent shared-office workloads or heavier specialty paper.
