ACP's transceiver 1000BASE-T SFP is 100% compliant for all of our networking product lines. ACP transceiver is factory loaded with OEM specific configuration data required for networking compliance. The transceiver initialize and perform identically to the OEM transceivers and can be mixed and deployed with other OEM or 3rd party transceivers, for seamless network performance. The 1000Base-T SFP Module operates on ordinary single mode fiber-optic link spans of up to 70 kilometers in length. Link spans of up to 100 km are possible using premium single-mode fiber or dispersion-shifted single-mode fiber. The 1000Base-T SFP Modules provides an optical link budget of 23 dB the precise link span length depends on multiple factors such as fiber quality, number of splices, and connectors. .

- A network administrator needs to connect a compatible switch or router’s SFP slot to a nearby RJ-45 Ethernet port. The module provides a copper connection using standard Ethernet cabling, without requiring a fiber link.
- An office is reusing an existing copper Ethernet run for a switch-to-switch or switch-to-router connection. If the equipment supports the module and the run is within its rated reach, the link can use the existing cabling instead of requiring a new fiber installation.
- A switch has an available SFP slot but the connected server, NAS, firewall, or other network device has an RJ-45 port. The module lets the administrator connect the devices over copper, provided both ends and the host switch support the required link speed.
- A network team needs an RJ-45 handoff on a switch model whose available connection is an SFP port. Installing the module converts that slot into a copper Ethernet interface for a compatible peer device; it does not increase the connection beyond the supported speed of the port and module.
