The HP 42X (Q5942X) is a single-pack, high-yield black toner cartridge for HP LaserJet 4240, 4250, and 4350 Series printers, suited to offices and other users who need an approximately 20,000-page cartridge for frequent printing.
Recommended For
- Office teams printing large volumes of black-and-white documents—such as invoices, forms, or records—on compatible LaserJet printers, where a 20,000-page rated yield can mean fewer cartridge changes.
- Businesses with shared or batch-print workflows that use a compatible HP LaserJet 4240, 4250, or 4350 and want a high-yield black toner replacement.
- Users maintaining an existing LaserJet 4250 or 4350 for repeated text-document jobs, who prefer the 42X’s 20,000-page rated yield over the 42A’s 10,000-page yield.
