Startech 0.5m High Speed HDMI® Cable HDMM50CM - Ultra HD 4k x 2k HDMI Cable - HDMI to HDMI M/M

The StarTech.com HDMM50CM is a 0.5 m (50 cm) High Speed HDMI 1.4 cable with male HDMI connectors at both ends, suited to connecting nearby TVs, monitors, projectors, computers, and other HDMI devices for audio and video.

Recommended For

• People connecting neighboring devices in a compact media cabinet—such as a receiver, streaming box, or display—who want a short cable with little excess slack.
• Home or office users linking a nearby computer, laptop, or workstation to an HDMI monitor or display for 1080p work or 4K video up to 30Hz.
• People replacing a short HDMI lead between adjacent HDTV, projector, receiver, or gaming-console components in a stationary setup.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• When a desktop PC sits beside a monitor, use the 50 cm cable for a short HDMI connection; it can carry video and audio without leaving a long cable loop on the desk. For 4K, this model supports up to 30 Hz, so check that limit against your display needs.
• In a media cabinet where an HDMI source and AV receiver are close together, use it for a short device-to-device run; the shorter cable can reduce excess slack around the equipment.
• When a game console is on a shelf beside the TV, connect it directly to the TV with this cable; it suits a close setup, but 50 cm may not reach if the console is farther away or the cable needs routing behind furniture.
• For a presentation, connect a nearby laptop to an HDMI-equipped monitor or projector; the cable carries the picture and audio, provided the devices are within reach and support the desired video format.
• In a compact video rig, use it to link nearby HDMI equipment such as a source device and monitor; its short length helps avoid spare cable in a small setup, but it is not suited to runs across a room.
