Logitech Swytch (952-000034) is a BYOM laptop link that lets meeting-room users connect a Windows laptop, MacBook, or Chromebook to the room’s display, camera, and audio devices with one USB connection, making it suitable for teams using their preferred video-meeting software.
Recommended For
- Meeting-room teams with a supported, PC-based room system who need guests to run meetings from their own laptop while using the room’s camera, microphone, speakers, and display.
- Organizations that host meetings on different platforms and want visitors to use their own meeting app with the installed room AV, rather than joining through the room computer.
- Frequent presenters who want to connect a laptop to a room display and USB conferencing equipment through one laptop-side USB-A or USB-C connection, and whose organization can manage the required DisplayLink driver.
- Companies standardizing on Logitech room equipment that want a laptop-based BYOM option alongside meetings hosted on the room system.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- A guest brings a laptop to a conference room that has a different built-in meeting platform. They connect it to Swytch and run their preferred meeting app while using the room’s camera, microphone, speakers, and display, when the room is configured for Swytch.
- A team needs to join a meeting hosted in a less common or partner video-conferencing app. Instead of relying on the room’s installed meeting service, someone runs the app on their laptop and uses the connected room AV for the call.
- A presenter wants to show a laptop’s slides or other content on the meeting-room display while leading a laptop-hosted video meeting. Swytch links the laptop to the room display and conferencing equipment, so the group can see the presentation and use the room’s AV during the call.
- A hybrid team uses a room system for its regular meetings, but occasionally needs to host a call from an employee’s laptop. In a compatible setup, connecting the laptop lets that employee run the meeting using the room’s conferencing peripherals rather than relying on the laptop’s built-in camera and audio.
- A visitor arrives with a laptop that lacks an HDMI port and needs to present or host a meeting in a Swytch-equipped room. The laptop connection is made through Swytch rather than a direct HDMI connection, with the room display and AV available in a supported setup.
