Reviews
The NV-FM1 is a highly versatile, pivoting multi-purpose mount for 120 and 140mm fans. It cannot only be used as a simple stand on desks or other level surfaces, but can also be fixed to walls, ceilings, furniture, or other objects using the screw-mounting holes and zip-tie slits at the base. Thanks to four strong magnets at the base, the NV-FM1 can also be simply stuck to any relatively flat magnetic surface such as fridges, steel machinery, or room radiators. The integrated 360° pivoting hinge makes it possible to let fans blow at any angle, such as upwards, downwards, or sideways, and the supplied anti-vibration fan mounts guarantee that no vibrations are transmitted.

Manufactured from thick, solid steel, the NV-FM1 is sturdy enough for heavy-duty applications and its matte-black coated finish makes it look great no matter the environment. In short, the NV-FM1 is a highly flexible, premium grade DIY solution for installing 12 or 14cm fans just about anywhere: From desk and ceiling fans to cabinet ventilation and parts cooling in 3D printing, and from providing extra airflow to heating appliances such as convection heaters or ovens for improved energy efficiency, to cooling off devices such as routers or switches, anything is possible!

LOADING...

The Noctua NV-FM1 is a sturdy, pivoting mount for compatible 120mm and 140mm square-frame Noctua fans, suited to DIY cooling and ventilation setups that need adjustable airflow and flexible placement on desks, walls, ceilings, or other surfaces.

Recommended For

  • PC builders who want to redirect airflow around a desktop setup—for example, using a spare 120 or 140 mm fan to cool a person, move warm air away from a PC, or cool nearby equipment.
  • DIY ventilation users who need to aim a compatible fan at a specific spot, such as a router, network switch, 3D-printing area, or other heat-producing equipment.
  • People who want to mount a fan on a suitable metal surface or attach it to furniture, a wall, or another fixed structure, and value being able to adjust the airflow direction.
  • Noctua fan owners who already have a compatible 120 or 140 mm fan and want to reuse it as a desk or utility fan rather than buy a complete fan kit.
  • Desk-fan DIYers who prefer a sturdy, adjustable stand and are willing to supply the fan and its power or speed-control setup separately.

Real-World Use Scenarios

  • At a desk, use a compatible fan as a personal fan and pivot it toward your face; it provides adjustable airflow without needing to place the fan flat on the desk.
  • If a PC case or nearby network device gets warm, aim a compatible fan across it to move air around the equipment; this adds local airflow but does not guarantee a specific temperature reduction.
  • For a cabinet or equipment rack with limited airflow, mount a compatible fan to a suitable surface and angle it through the enclosure; the mount helps direct ventilation where fixed case fans are impractical.
  • For 3D-printing projects that need airflow on a particular area, position a compatible fan beside the printer and pivot it toward the work; the adjustable mount makes it easier to aim airflow than a stationary fan.
  • When desk space is limited, attach the mount to a flat magnetic steel surface, such as a suitable PC case or rack, and angle the fan toward the user or equipment; this keeps the fan off the work surface.
