The IOGEAR 4K Video Extender/Splitter over Ethernet Cable Kit sends HDMI video over Cat6 to a distant display, making it suitable for home theaters, offices, and classrooms where the source and screen are in different locations. It supports up to 4K at 60Hz (3840 × 2160) and includes a transmitter and receiver.
Recommended For
- Home-theater owners who need to route one HDMI source to a TV or projector in another room over an installed Cat6 cable, while keeping the source equipment near the main AV setup.
- Small businesses, sports bars, or offices that need to distribute the same video feed to multiple distant screens over a wired Cat6 run.
- Installers or AV users who already have Cat6 cabling routed through walls, ceilings, or crawl spaces and want to avoid running a long HDMI cable between rooms.
- Users who want a low-latency wired video link for gaming or interactive displays in a fixed setup, rather than relying on wireless casting.
