Black Box VCB-HDMI-007M Black Box Premium High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet, Male/Male, 7-m (23-ft.) - HDMI for Audio/Video Device, Blu-ray Player, TV, DVD, Notebook, Satellite Receiver, Gaming

The Black Box VCB-HDMI-007M is a 7 m (23 ft) male-to-male HDMI cable with Ethernet for connecting TVs, Blu-ray players, gaming devices, notebooks, and other HDMI-equipped audio/video devices across a longer distance.

Recommended For

• Home-theater users routing a Blu-ray player, receiver, or other HDMI source to a TV or projector about 23 ft away, especially for 1080p and other High-Speed HDMI use.
• Classroom or meeting-room setups connecting a laptop or AV receiver to a distant HDMI display, when a long cable run is needed and the system’s video format fits the cable’s High-Speed HDMI class.
• Users connecting HDMI Ethernet Channel-enabled devices who want video, audio, and that device-networking feature carried over one cable; the Ethernet function requires both connected devices to support it.
• Owners of compatible legacy TVs, DVD or Blu-ray players, and satellite receivers who need a shielded, male-to-male HDMI connection across a longer room-sized distance.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• Connecting a Blu-ray player or satellite receiver to a TV across a room: the 23-foot cable can carry the picture and multichannel audio over one run, avoiding the need to place the source beside the display.
• Running a laptop or desktop to a TV or projector for presentations or video: the long cable helps bridge the distance between the computer and the display while sending video and audio through the same connection.
• Connecting a game console to a TV across a living room: it provides a wired HDMI path for gameplay and audio, but users should not assume it supports newer high-refresh 4K gaming features.
• Routing a source to a TV or projector in a home-theater setup: the cable carries digital video and audio along one longer run, with the actual supported picture format depending on the connected devices and signal requirements.
• Using the HDMI Ethernet Channel between compatible components: the cable can carry network data along with audio and video, but this works only when both connected devices support HDMI Ethernet Channel.
