Pretty good for the price, but not best in class2/17/2011 6:28:55 PM
Pros: Comfortable fit on the ears, vented band on the top, pretty good boom mic adjustment wand, the foam cover on the microphone stays in place and shouldn't slide off and get lost. Mic can flip in either direction so you can choose what side of the face it appears on. The adjustments for height and mic position are firm and the unit should stay in place well.
Cons: Microphone level is not as strong as it could be so you may need to speak louder than you might with some competing models.
Overall Review: I like the fact that the cable goes to only one of the ear-cups, meaning you don't have that "Y" cable dropping down below your chin. It feels less constricting.
Pros: Good sound, good mic, lightweight, comfortable.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: Hello Newegg shoppers! I would like to get on my soap-box now. I am growing weary of the countless reviews left by customers (primarily tech level 4 and 5 mind you), that slam great products for issues not related to the product itself. These headphones do not have a volume control or mute button on them, nor do they claim to. For my particular setup, this is perfect; my G510 gaming keyboard integrates these functions. Furthermore, the sound and mic volumes are fully configurable via the system and/or sound driver software. If you're unsure as to how to configure your system sound devices, feel free to research the vast array of forums and information deposits the internet has to offer. I use my headphones extensively for gaming, including voice chat. My colleagues have commented on the excellent performance of my headset. They broadcast my voice over the servers with exceptional clarity. I do have experience with far more expensive sets, and can honestly say, the difference in sound quality is minimal. This set does not have the bass range of a $400 set of headphones, however they are obviously not designed for this purpose. I will step down from the soap-box now. Oh, and one more thing; knowing how to copy and paste files does not make you a tech level 5.

Pros: None
Cons: Microphone audio level is too quiet. With no microphone boost it does not pick up any sound at all. At full boost it is super quiet with a lot of distortion.
Overall Review: I would not recommend this to anyone. I don't think there is such thing as a good microphone for a low price like this.
Pros: Cheap great for Google Voice or Skype calls.
Cons: Not even remotely good for music. If you're looking for a dual purpose call/music headset, spend the extra bucks for a better one. This headset has no high-end OR low-end and sounds very tinny for music. Phone call quality is great and people on the other end can hear me great too.
Pros: * Comfortable
* Great sound
* Good mic
Good Quality overall. I had to buy three of those over the last 6 years (due to cat), never regretted my purchase.
Cons: * No way to reduce volume from hardware
Overall Review: Don't let the cables in reach of pets.
