StarTech.com HDMIMM15FL 15 ft. Black Flat High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet Male to Male

The StarTech.com HDMIMM15FL is a 15-foot flat, male-to-male HDMI cable with Ethernet support for connecting HDMI devices, such as a TV and source device, where a longer cable run is useful.

Recommended For

• Home-theater owners routing a 15-foot connection from a Blu-ray player, set-top box, or AV receiver to a TV or projector, especially when a flat cable is easier to place along a baseboard or under carpet.
• People connecting standard HDMI source and display devices across a room who want one cable for video and audio rather than separate AV leads.
• Installers or desk users who need to route a fixed HDMI connection neatly behind furniture or along a wall, where a flat cable profile can help reduce visible cable bulk.
• Users with compatible HDMI devices who want the cable’s Ethernet channel available for supported HDMI networking features, rather than adding a separate network cable for that function.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For a wall-mounted TV with a console or receiver on a cabinet below, route the cable behind the TV and along the setup; its flat profile can help keep the run less bulky and easier to manage.
• When a Blu-ray player, cable box, or AV receiver sits across the room from the TV, the 15-foot run provides room to place the devices separately while carrying video and audio over one HDMI connection. The picture and supported formats depend on both connected devices.
• For a home projector, connect a source device at a convenient seat or equipment shelf without needing it beside the projector; the cable carries the source’s HDMI video and audio to the display.
• At a desk or in a home office, connect an HDMI-equipped laptop or desktop to a larger monitor or TV for presentations or a second screen, with enough cable length to position the display away from the computer.
• For a TV setup where the cable needs to follow a wall or furniture edge, the flat shape can make the run easier to lay neatly than a round cable; it does not eliminate the need to avoid sharp bends or pinching.
