The Tripp Lite P568-006-BK-GRP is a 6-foot male-to-male HDMI cable that supports video up to 4K (3840 × 2160) and has gripping connectors to help prevent accidental disconnects, making it suitable for connecting laptops, consoles, or Blu-ray players to a TV or monitor.
Recommended For
- Classroom and conference-room presenters connecting a laptop or tablet to a room display, especially when the cable should stay seated during a presentation.
- Home-theater users connecting a nearby Blu-ray player, cable box, or receiver to a TV when a 6-foot cable and a more secure connector fit the setup.
- Users with HDMI equipment in a hard-to-reach or vibration-prone position who want the cable’s gripping connectors to help reduce accidental disconnects.
- Desktop-PC users connecting an HDMI computer to a nearby monitor for standard display use, including supported 4K video up to 30 Hz.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In a classroom or meeting room, connect an HDMI-equipped laptop to the room’s projector or display to present slides or video with audio; the gripping connectors help the cable stay seated if it is bumped.
- At home, connect a laptop to an HDMI-equipped TV to mirror or extend the screen for videos, photos, or browsing, with video and audio carried over the same cable.
- Connect a PlayStation or Xbox to an HDTV for wired gameplay; the cable carries the console’s picture and audio, with this model supporting up to 4K at 30 Hz and not supporting HDR.
- Connect a desktop computer to an HDMI monitor for a larger workspace or a second screen; the connection sends picture and audio over one cable when supported by the devices.
- In a home theater, connect a Blu-ray player or game system to a nearby 4K TV or receiver; the 6-foot cable allows some separation between the source and display, while 4K output is limited to 30 Hz and HDR is unsupported.
