This card is powered by SAS3316 dual-core RAID on Chip (ROC) processor and 2 GB DDR3 memory to deliver fast processing needed for complex RAID calculation. With two SFF-8643 (internal Mini-SAS HD) connectors and two SFF-8644 (external Mini-SAS HD) connectors, this card offers 16 native SAS/SATA ports and supports expansion to up to 240 drives. PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface provides ample bus bandwidth to take full advantage of the latest SAS 12 Gbps drives. Large heatsink keep the card running cool and stable even under heavy reading/writing workloads.
