StarTech 100ft HDMI 2.1 Hybrid Active Optical Cable (AOC), CMP, Plenum Rated

The StarTech 100ft HDMI 2.1 Hybrid Active Optical Cable is a plenum-rated cable for long HDMI runs, with up to 48Gbps bandwidth, HDR10+ support, eARC, and HDCP 2.3. It suits home theater, AV, and commercial installations that need high-bandwidth video and audio over a long distance.

Recommended For

• Home-theater owners routing video from an AV receiver or equipment rack to a distant projector who need a long HDMI run for 4K/120Hz or 8K video.
• Installers running HDMI through ceilings, plenum spaces, or walls who need a CMP-rated cable and can connect the labeled Source and Display ends in the correct direction.
• PC or console gamers placing the display far from the computer or console who want to carry high-bandwidth HDMI video to a distant TV or projector.
• AV integrators connecting a source to a display across a long building run who need eARC and multichannel audio carried alongside video over one HDMI cable.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• In a home theater, run HDMI from an equipment rack to a ceiling-mounted projector through the wall or ceiling; compatible gear can carry high-resolution video across the long concealed route without leaving a cable across the room.
• When a gaming PC or console is in another room from the TV, use the long run to connect them; with compatible devices and settings, it can carry 4K at up to 120Hz and HDR without routing a short cable across the floor.
• For a conference room or office with equipment routed through a ceiling plenum, connect a source to a distant display using an in-ceiling run; the CMP-rated jacket is intended for plenum installation, keeping the HDMI path out of sight.
• In a living-room theater with an AV receiver and a wall-mounted TV, use it for the long receiver-to-TV connection; compatible equipment can send video to the TV and return audio over eARC.
