StarTech 6.6ft HDMI 2.0 Extension Cable Black HD2MF6FL

The StarTech HD2MF6FL is a 6.6-foot HDMI 2.0 male-to-female extension cable for users who need extra reach between HDMI-connected devices while supporting up to 4K at 60Hz, HDR, and 18Gbps bandwidth.

Recommended For

• People with a wall-mounted TV or projector whose HDMI port is difficult to reach; the male-to-female extension brings the connection point within easier reach.
• Users who frequently connect and disconnect devices and want an accessible extension point to reduce wear on the original HDMI port.
• AV installers extending a compatible HDMI connection by about 6 feet in a meeting room, kiosk, or digital-signage setup with concealed or hard-to-access ports.
• Home-theater users who need a short HDMI extension for compatible 4K video up to 60Hz and want to retain supported HDR and audio features.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• When a wall-mounted TV’s HDMI port is hard to reach, connect this extension to the TV and plug the source cable into its easier-to-access female end; it can make changing or reconnecting devices less awkward.
• If a TV or monitor is used often with different laptops or PCs, leave the extension connected and swap devices at its accessible end; this can reduce repeated handling of the display’s built-in HDMI port.
• When an existing HDMI lead to a wall-mounted TV or projector falls just short, use the extension to add reach without replacing the whole lead; picture and sound still depend on the capabilities and signal quality of the complete connection.
• In a kiosk or digital-signage setup with a concealed HDMI port, use the extension to bring the connection out to a more reachable spot; this can simplify connecting or servicing the display.
• For a ceiling-mounted projector with an installed HDMI lead that needs a little more reach, add the extension at the projector end; check the full cable path with the intended video mode, since adding a connection can affect signal reliability.
