The Lenovo ThinkCentre M90q Gen 5 is a tiny desktop with an Intel Core i9-14900, 64 GB of memory, and a 1 TB SSD, suited to professionals who need strong performance for demanding office workloads and multitasking in a compact setup.

Recommended For

• IT teams deploying managed office PCs across multiple desks or sites: the M90q Gen 5’s vPro Enterprise option, Windows 11 Pro, and compact Tiny format suit centrally managed business endpoints.
• Professionals with limited desk space who need a desktop for demanding office multitasking: the Tiny system pairs a Core i9-14900 with 64 GB RAM and can support up to four independent displays, but the monitor is separate.
• Business users who run CPU-heavy productivity or creative applications and want a small desktop: CHIP found the i9-equipped Gen 5 suitable for demanding office work and multitasking, while noting that its fan can become loud under full load.
• Workplaces that need a compact PC attached to or tucked behind a monitor: Lenovo positions the M90q Gen 5 for space-efficient deployments and supports monitor mounting with compatible accessories.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For office work with large spreadsheets, presentations, many browser tabs, and video calls open at once, the M90q Gen 5 should keep everyday multitasking responsive; the reviewed i9 configuration handled demanding office workloads smoothly.
• In a crowded home-office or shared workstation, its Tiny chassis can free up desk space and can be mounted behind a compatible monitor, while still connecting a keyboard, mouse, network cable, and displays.
• For compiling code, processing data, or running other CPU-heavy desktop tasks, the i9 configuration offers substantial processing capacity in a compact system; during sustained full-load work, expect the fan to become more noticeable.
• For a business desk with two monitors, the system can support a multi-screen workflow for documents, dashboards, and video calls; its compact form and vPro configuration also suit managed office deployments.
• For 4K video playback and casual, less graphics-intensive games, the integrated graphics are suitable for basic entertainment; this configuration is not aimed at demanding modern games or GPU-heavy creative work.
