The Kramer CP-AOCH/60-98 is a 98-foot active, plenum-rated HDMI cable with micro HDMI male connectors at both ends, designed for 4K signal runs in professional AV installations that need a long cable route.
Recommended For
- Commercial AV installers wiring conference rooms, classrooms, or digital-signage displays that need a long, direct 4K@60Hz HDMI run and a plenum-rated cable.
- Installers routing HDMI through conduit, walls, or other tight openings; the detachable HDMI connectors let the smaller micro-HDMI ends pass through before the adapters are attached.
- Home-theater or projector owners connecting a distant source and display with one point-to-point cable, when 4K@60Hz is sufficient and a long copper run is impractical.
- AV teams running high-resolution video near equipment that may be affected by electromagnetic or radio-frequency interference; Kramer specifies reduced EMI and RFI for this optical cable.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In a conference room, an installer can route video from a presentation PC or AV rack to a distant projector through ceiling space; the detachable ends help the cable pass through conduit, and a compatible setup can carry 4K video and audio over the run.
- In a classroom, a technician can connect a teaching computer or lectern to a front-of-room display across a long ceiling route; the plenum-rated jacket suits the specified installation environment, while the optical design supports a long point-to-point HDMI connection.
- In an auditorium or lecture hall, the cable can link an AV equipment location to a remote projector or screen without placing the source beside the display; a compatible system can deliver up to 4K at 60 Hz across the 98-foot run.
- For a permanently installed display in a lobby or other commercial space, an installer can conceal a long source-to-screen connection in conduit or ceiling space; the cable's slim, flexible construction can make routing easier than a bulkier conventional cable.
- When upgrading a room's video system, an installer can pull the cable through a narrow conduit with its removable connectors, then attach the HDMI ends; the finished connection is intended to run directly between source and display, without wall plates, couplers, or patch cables.
