I want a trackball for work but I cannot install the software on a work computer.  What functions do the buttons have if the software is not installed?

Win 7 on a Thinkpad:
Lower buttons are normal click & right-click.
Upper left toggles a scrolling mode where distance from the click point determines speed of scrolling in both X & Y.
Upper right seems to be a "jump to previous" function, but I don't use it and haven't explored or read up on it. In Thunderbird it seems to jump me to the last message I read, so it might be Alt-left-arrow?

can anyone tell me a recommended wrist rest to use ive seen a few say they dont like this one is there one that fits really well with this? I would like to know before i buy as i am looking for something alot more comfortable then my current kensington wireless mouse its the read one with the touch sensistive scroll which is so cool, i wish they would make it longer though like the orbot so that the palm of your hand could wrest on the slop and something firm instead of hanging which puts tons of tension on my wrist so much so my joints are starting to crack with air and hurt regurlary i

I use the wrist pad that came with the trackball and absolutely love it.  I have been using this style trackball for the last 10+ years and I never experience wrist discomfort.  My wrist fits firmly on the pad and my index fingers lines up perfectly with the bottom left button, my index, middle and ring fingers rest on the ball and my pinkie rests on the right bottom button.

I have been a two-fisted user of trackballs for many years. I have a Logitech multi-function for the right hand and a track-ball for the left which I use for fast movement across my twin screens - a 30" Hi-def Dell and a 20" Hi-def Samsung. 
I want to update to the K64325. Would I have all the functions of the Kensington, and still be able to use the left hand track-ball?
Or even better - would there be any advantage if I had 2 Kensingtons. I am looking for max performance - any suggestions?

I have used the K64325 left handed before. It is fully ambidextrous - ergonomically and configurably. With the TrackballWorks software, all the buttons can be assigned whatever you wish. Even the scroll ring around the ball can be reversed for left handed use.
I have used both Kensington & Logitech trackballs, and I definitely prefer Kensington, mainly for the comfort and  configurability.

DOES THIS TRACKBALL HAVE SOME WAY TO EASILY SCROLL? BOUGHT A LOGITECH TRACKBALL AND WAS AMAZED THERE WAS NO WAY TO SCROLL (EASILY) THANKS

Yes. The black 'ribbed' ring around the ball is a scroll ring. Simply rotate it CW or CCW with your thumb or finger to scroll. It's pretty intuitive.

It's maybe around 2".

FYI - If you have never used this trackball, it is the best! I've been using these for years and there is nothing better on the market. If you haven't used it before, it will take a day or so to get comfortable with it. After that, you will wonder how you could use anything else.

I have an Imac computer an use the kenningston expert mouse. Is there software or drivers for this item it is has a usb connection?

Yes, of course. Goto Kensington dot com and download the Mac software. This trackball is the finest input device I have ever used. The standard 'mouse' supplied with all computers is the definitely the worst input device ever created.
