Dell 310-7712 Dell 90 Watt 19.5 Volt Ac Adapter For D630 D830 D430

The Dell 310-7712 is a 90-watt, 19.5-volt AC adapter listed for the Dell D630, D830, and D430; it is suitable for owners of these models looking for a compatible power adapter.

Recommended For

• Owners of a Dell Latitude D630, D830, or D430 who need a replacement or spare adapter to power the laptop and charge its battery.
• D630 users who want a 90W adapter for a configuration with a 9-cell battery; Dell’s product specifications identify the 90W adapter for ExpressCharge with that battery.
• Retro-computing users keeping a Latitude D630 or D830 running for older software or hardware tasks who need a compatible power supply; community discussions describe continued use of these older systems for such purposes.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• When the original charger is missing or has failed, use this adapter as a replacement to power a compatible Latitude D630, D830, or D430 from a wall outlet; confirm the laptop’s connector and power requirements before ordering.
• For a D630 used for extended desk work, keep the laptop connected to AC power instead of relying on its battery; Dell lists 65W and 90W adapters for the model.
• If a D630 has its optional 9-cell battery, a compatible 90W AC adapter supports Dell ExpressCharge; actual battery condition affects the charging experience.
• When using a D630 with a Dell D/Dock or D/Port, connect AC power for normal operation; Dell’s guide says battery power alone is not sufficient for normal operation while docked.
