IMAGING UNIT

The Lexmark 24B6025 is a black imaging unit for compatible Lexmark M- and XM-series printers, with an approximate 100,000-page yield at 5% coverage. It suits offices and print environments that need a high-yield replacement for one of the listed printer models.

Recommended For

• Office teams replacing the imaging unit in a listed Lexmark M5155/M5163/M5170 or XM-series printer; this is a black imaging unit, not a toner cartridge.
• High-volume monochrome office teams maintaining a compatible printer and seeking a replacement imaging unit rated for up to 100,000 pages under stated test conditions.
• IT staff or printer-service providers stocking a specific black imaging-unit replacement for supported Lexmark M/XM 51- and 71-series devices.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• In a busy office using a compatible Lexmark printer for recurring black-and-white printing, the imaging unit can be replaced as part of routine supply maintenance, helping keep the printer available for everyday document jobs.
• When an office prints large volumes of routine documents, teams can plan imaging-unit replacement as a separate maintenance task from toner replacement, rather than treating both parts as one consumable.
• For a shared department printer that handles frequent print and copy jobs, keeping the compatible imaging unit in the maintenance inventory can help staff prepare for a replacement without waiting to identify the part after a supply alert.
• When the printer indicates that its imaging unit needs attention, a user or technician can install the replacement unit to continue using the compatible printer; this is a parts-maintenance step, not a toner refill.
• When estimating replacement timing, an office should treat the 100,000-page figure as an estimate under stated test conditions, not a guaranteed interval; actual use and print coverage can affect how long the unit lasts.
