LOADING...
The Philips Avent Natural SCY900/24 is a four-pack of 4 oz blue baby bottles with Flow 2 Natural Response nipples, designed for infants whose caregivers want to combine breast and bottle feeding while letting baby control the milk flow.
Recommended For
- Caregivers combining breastfeeding with expressed-milk or formula bottles who want a nipple designed to release milk only while the baby actively drinks.
- Caregivers of babies who tend to drink quickly and want a bottle designed to slow the pace by pausing milk flow between active sucks.
- Families willing to let a baby adjust to an active-suck nipple rather than expecting milk to flow with little effort, as can happen with free-flow bottle nipples.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- When a breastfed baby also takes expressed milk by bottle, caregivers can offer the same bottle during a feeding shift; the breast-shaped nipple and active-suck flow are designed to support switching between breast and bottle, though each baby’s acceptance can vary.
- During a feed, when a baby pauses to swallow or breathe, milk stops flowing from the Natural Response nipple; the baby resumes the flow by actively sucking, rather than receiving a continuous drip during the pause.
- For smaller early feeds, the 4 oz bottle is a practical size to hold and monitor; a hands-on newborn bottle review also describes using this size during the first months.
- When switching from a conventional bottle nipple, caregivers may find that the baby needs a few feeds to get used to actively sucking before milk flows; the transition can feel different from a nipple that drips continuously.
- When briefly setting a filled bottle down between feeds, the no-drip nipple is designed to help keep milk from escaping through the tip, which can reduce small spills and wasted milk.
