I have a dell ultrasharp 24" monitor model number FP66826 id like to use this with, will it work?

Possibly, this device is to be plugged into a computer with out an HDMI port, to convert the computers VGA signal into an HDMI signal. So an older computer can be used with a newer monitor that may not have a VGA port, and without upgrading the computers video card.

Question 2

I will be using this device to connect a Cable Box to a Projector. Can I do this? Will I need to connect the USB to an electrical outlet with an adapter? There will be no computer in the equation and I do not care about Audio being transferred.

It sounds like you would be connecting the cable box hdmi port to the projector's VGA connection which I do not believe will work. This device does a VGA to HDMI conversion which I believe is one way. As far as the USB is concerned, I'm pretty sure that it will be necessary to connect it as this is, basically, a digital to analog conversion which requires circuitry.

I want to use a Samsung 15 pin video screen with my laptop. My laptop does not have a 15 pin socket. Can I use this adapter to make everything work?

No.  This adapter goes the other way. It has a HDMI output.  I'm using it with a laptop that has a 15 pin VGA connector to connect it to a TV that only has a HDMI input.

I would like to use this on either a Fujitsu M2010 with VGA 1024x576 or an EEEPC 701 with 800x480 VGA. will it work for either/both of them? The exact combinations are not on the specs. thank you!!

It has worked excellently for me. If you computer has the appropriate port connections, you should have no problems.
