--Electronics E-Retailer Launches Back-to-School Sales and Sweepstakes--
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., July 9, 2013 -- Newegg, Inc. (www.newegg.com), the leading electronics-focused e-retailer in the United States, today announced the launch of its “Back-to-School: Gear to Rule” promotion. From July 9 through September 16, Newegg is offering stellar deals on the latest back-to-school technology products that students need for the start of the school season.
Newegg’s back-to-school promotion features six phases, each focusing on a specific product category or theme. For the month of July, Newegg’s promotion kicks off with “Blueprint to Success,” followed by “Dominate your Headquarters.” The former features more than 100 deals on back-to-school essentials while the latter focuses on must-haves for college dorm rooms such as monitors, printers, TVs, mini fridges and more.
In August, “Computing Power-ups” and “The Art of DIY” will spotlight desktop PCs, laptops, software, hard drives, accessories and computer components. Portable devices such as tablets, smart phones and digital cameras will be highlighted in the “Roadtrip Roundups” phase, which leads into the final phase in September, “Last Chance to Score.”
“Newegg is here to help students get properly outfitted for back-to-school this fall,” said Jacob Shin, vice president of customer acquisition at Newegg. “In addition to upcoming deals and promotions, Newegg also has more than 3 million customer written product reviews. This makes Newegg a great resource for students and parents who aren’t quite sure which ultrabook or all-in-one printer best fits their needs and budgets.”
Beginning on July 16, students will also have the opportunity to win back-to-school essentials with Newegg’s “Stay in ‘Touch’” sweepstakes. Sponsored by Intel and Microsoft, this back-to-school sweepstakes features more than $60,000 in prizes. Two grand prize winners will each take home a brand new 2013 Ford Focus ST, while additional winners will get the latest touchscreen devices such as the Sony VAIO L Series SVL24147CXB 24" All-In-One PC, ASUS Zenbook Prime UX31A-DH51 13.3" Ultrabook, Toshiba Satellite U925t Ultrabook and Acer Iconia Tab W510-1422.
