The white Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is a wireless gaming mouse with a HERO sensor up to 12,000 DPI, a 1 kHz report rate, and six programmable buttons, suited to PC and Mac players who want responsive wireless control and customizable inputs.
Recommended For
- PC gamers who want responsive wireless control for FPS and other games without a cable; reviewers found its LIGHTSPEED connection and sensor performance suitable for gaming.
- Laptop gamers who move between home, work, or travel setups and want a compact wireless mouse with storage for its USB receiver.
- Players with small-to-medium hands who prefer a compact, nearly symmetrical shape, especially for fingertip or claw grip.
- People who prefer replaceable batteries over charging a mouse and want long use between battery changes; Logitech rates the G305 for up to 250 hours on one AA battery.
- Users who want one mouse for casual gaming and everyday computer work, with programmable buttons and a straightforward design.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In fast-paced PC games such as first-person shooters, a player wants responsive aiming without a mouse cable dragging across the desk; reviews report reliable tracking and low click latency during FPS testing.
- For everyday work alongside gaming, a user wants one wireless mouse for browsing, documents, and play; testing finds the G305 suitable for office use as well as gaming, though its compact shape may not suit every hand size.
- When taking a gaming laptop to class, work, or a friend’s home, a user wants a mouse that is easy to pack and quick to set up; the compact design stores its USB receiver inside, but connection requires a compatible USB port or adapter.
- For a desk setup used most days, a player wants to avoid frequent charging breaks; the G305 runs on a replaceable AA battery, and Logitech rates it for up to 250 hours of continuous gameplay, though actual time between changes varies with use.
- In games that benefit from extra shortcuts, a user wants quick access to actions such as push-to-talk or melee; the six programmable buttons allow customization, but the G305 has fewer side buttons than a dedicated MMO mouse.
