The ASUS ROG 20th Edition Harpe II Extreme is an 82g wireless esports gaming mouse for competitive players seeking precise tracking, with a 65,000-DPI optical sensor and up to 8,000Hz polling over 2.4GHz wireless or USB.

Recommended For

  • Competitive FPS players who want adjustable high polling, responsive clicks and smooth glass feet for quick aim movements; reviewers tested it in fast-paced shooters such as Counter-Strike 2.
  • ROG fans and gaming-gear collectors who want a 20th-anniversary mouse with gold-plated details and a display-ready case, as well as gaming features.
  • Players who prefer a medium-to-large, Harpe II Ace-style shape with palm support and room for a forward-leaning or relaxed grip; the anniversary edition uses the Harpe II Ace shape.
  • PC users who switch between a gaming desktop and another device and want wireless, Bluetooth and wired connection options.

Real-World Use Scenarios

  • In fast-paced FPS matches, a player making quick turns and small aim corrections gets responsive tracking and a smooth glide; a reviewer found it handled Counter-Strike 2 well, though the fast-moving glass feet may not suit everyone.
  • For competitive play on a high-refresh-rate PC, a player can enable the mouse’s higher polling settings or Zone mode for a ready-to-play performance profile; the practical benefit may be modest for players who do not notice or need the extra responsiveness.
  • During a mix of gaming and everyday computer work, the user can keep the same mouse on the desk; a reviewer reported it remained comfortable through the start and end of the day.
  • For slower games or careful cursor work such as drawing, the smooth glide and consistent tracking make controlled movement possible, even though its esports-focused performance may be more than those tasks require.
  • When switching between a gaming PC and another compatible device, the user can choose between 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, or wired USB, making it possible to adapt the connection to the setup.
