Great Product from Corsair 2/4/2020 9:15:09 AM

Pros: I needed a p.s. that would work with Corsair's IQue software. This fits the bill.

Overall Review: 650 watts is the sweet spot for me in power supplies, Corsair builds the best...

Great PSU! Terrible cables! 1/21/2020 4:36:16 PM

Pros: This thing is oozing quality! Corsair link is amazing! Using this with a Ryzen 7 3700x processor and MSI x570 Gaming plus MB and MSI 1660 Super Gaming X. Just hands down a good quality power supply.

Cons: The cable are terrible! They are good quality, but extremely stiff ends. The ends give you no flexibility and make cable management a nightmare! They put very hard pressure on the MB when trying to run them into the grommets.

Overall Review: Product is worth the money.

Great product. Worked out of the box 11/10/2019 11:15:29 PM

Pros: Beautiful design
Very sturdy
Nice packaging

Cons: Not a big big problem but the screws included were a bit thicker than the sockets provided and it took 2 of us about 30 minutes to install the thing with great difficulty. but still not a big problem

Overall Review: Very good product. Would recommend.

As usual, this is another great Corsair PSU 2/12/2019 9:44:08 AM

Pros: This delivers the power I need at for my AMD system. I'm running a Ryzen 2700X and a RX Vega 64 STRIX. This PSU is also very quiet and the fan only runs when needed, it helps keep my overall system quiet. At peak when gaming, my system power usage maxes at 467W, plus I like the functionality of Corsair Link.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Its dead quiet and works! 11/29/2017 7:48:55 AM

Pros: This is a replacement for a Thermaltake that was DOA during a new computer build. This PSU is absolutely dead quiet in my application because the fan never comes on! In fact, even with a total of 4 other 120mm fans this computer is still dead quiet! You have to exceed 40% load for the PSU fan to come on and for the most part, I am not there. The monitoring software is really nice. I never knew how far I was pushing the PSU before this. Now I know I don't need as big a PSU as I thought. I run just under 100 Watts under normal operating conditions. This may actually be too big a PSU for the job. This is on an Intel i7-770K (65W) on an ASUS mobo with a 1TB SSD, 32 GB RAM, 2HD back-ups and a Corsair liquid cooled CPU system. I have no separate video card (yet). I seem to be able to drive both displays from the mobo and do not do any games with it so I may not need a video card for this application. The most stress I put on the unit is with CAD and 3D design programs.

Cons: Only had this PSU running a week. We will see what I have to say a year from now. Update 2 months + still as quiet and working great! Sometimes I am not sure the computer is actually on unless I look at the top fan to see if it is lit.

Overall Review: This build is way quieter and faster by an order of magnitude to what it replaced, so I am a happy camper!

Works as advertised - would change some details 10/15/2017 7:50:04 PM

Pros: PSU is working exactly as advertised. Have not yet had a chance to fully load it, since I have not bought the new video card. The modular cabling is great. Fan does indeed stay at 0 RPM at low loads, but even when it is at full RPM it is not outrageously loud. At full RPM fan noise is primarily aerodynamic rather than mechanical.

The Corsair Link software is excellent, and does a great job reporting not just on the PSU, but also the motherboard and GPU. In terms of the visual design data dash boarding it is far superior to the ASUS AI Suite 3. For purposes of displaying data it even beats my old trusty Speedfan.

Cons: Corsair needs to rethink the included modular SATA cables. The PSU only included 2 SATA cables, each with four connectors, one slightly longer than the other. 8 SATA power connectors should be plenty for anyone, right? The problem is that this not take into account the design of many new chassis, with SSD bays hidden away behind the motherboard. I wanted an SSD behind the motherboard, an optical drive at the top of the tower, and two HDD in a cage at the bottom of the chassis. I can reach all three locations with either of the two cables. But there is no way to reach TWO of the locations with any cable. Thus I would need to have either 3 modular cables (but only 2 included); or buy a SATA power extension; or set up the SSD in the drive cage with the 2 HHDs. I chose the latter, but the solution is not optimal.

Still working fine after 9 months 8/25/2017 8:40:14 AM

Pros: Not much to say about a power supply unless there are problems and there haven't been any. Very easy to install. Having to connect only the DC power cables that are needed is a huge plus. They included a nice bag for the cables I'm not using so that they don't get lost.

Cons: None
