Pros: Very fast card and it's already OC'd out of the box. Very big so make sure you have the room for it. Bought this to replace a GT9600 and it's a world of difference. Jumped my Windows performance rating to 7.3.

Cons: HIS drivers disk suck big time!! Drivers would not load and wouldn't recognize or detect the card. Numerous tries with the same result. Went to HIS's website and downloaded the latest install package and it still wouldn't work. Finally went to AMD and downloaded their Catalyst package and everything went smooth first try. got a little tweaking to do, but other than that, up and running great.

Overall Review: Took away one egg for the cr_ppy HIS software package, and gave it back for Newegg's great shipping, rebate and free Dirt 3 that came with the package.

Pros: First of all, this card is both cool and fast. The stock heatsink/fan is well made and fairly quiet. LOTS of video connectivity options. This is my first experience with the manufacturer HIS, and I am not dissappointed. It's also a well constructed card with good component placement on the PCB. You could install an aftermarket VGA cooler, but the OEM cooler is more than suficient for most games/applications on relatively high settings.

Cons: I truly cannot think of any real "cons" with this card, as this card is quiet, cool and fast. (see "other thoughts" below) I plan on purchasing an additional card for my second computer as well. The card's price makes this an affordable alternative for gamers. (best "bang-for-the-buck" card I've found)

Overall Review: The only issue I originally had was the heatsink's unpolished contact surface. I ran the card for a few days prior to removal of the heatsink and subsequent "lapping/polishing" of the heatsink's contact surface. After applying Arctic Silver Ceramique 2 thermal compound and running the card (burn-in) for a few days, I noticed a 4-degree centigrade decrease in GPU temps under load (playing Skyrim) and a 2-degree drop at idle. Please note that modifying the stock card like I did will probably void the manufacturer's warranty. Unless you are familiar with heatsink "lapping", it is best to leave the card in it's stock condition. My primary system components are; Asus Sabertooth 990FX mainboard (Latest BIOS update version 0813) AMD FX-4100 quad-core BE clocked at 4.0GHz 16GB GSkill Ripjaws DDR3-1333 memory (4GB x 4) Heavily modded" Dell XPS 700 case with LOTS of fans. I "modded" this case from a BTX to an ATX and use the original Newton 1000W OEM power supply.

Pros: I absolutely love this card. I recently built a AMD Athalon II Quadcore machine, for a final project at school, and needed a good GPU to throw in it. I read the initial review of the 6790 over on Guru3D, and loved the things they said about it. my Case is a LITTLE small, and the GPU sort of "Rests" on the SATA ports, but other than that, it has been an awesome card. It is the 3rd HIS ATI Chipset I have owned (The other two being a ATI x1300, and 2 Radeon HD 4670's) and I love the performance I get out of them, and how cool the IceQ cooling system works. TL;DR: I have had the card for three weeks, and it has run BEAUTIFULLY on everything I throw at it.

Cons: I have had some minor stalls, and strange artifacts, but a driver update from ATI fixed that right up.

Overall Review: When I bought this there were zero reviews on it (here at newegg) so I imagine I took a risk. I am glad I did. WONDERFUL card.

Pros: This is a great graphics card. Serves my needs very well. Plays my games just fine. FPS are High. Scores 7.6 on both Windows indexes without overclocking. Fan is pretty quiet too, even at 75% Would recommend this card to anyone.

Cons: Not really a con, but for some reason my Driver CD was blank. Computer saw it has a blank cd. So I downloaded software from online

Pros: Really crisp graphics and quiet at that. Had zero problems installing latest HIS drivers over older existing Radeon drivers (recommended to remove old drivers but got lazy and didn't)...no issues though. Wife went from amateur Photoshop user to advance user and used her progression as a reason to "upgrade"...not for gaming...yeah right! I'm always a little leery about these stats...but Win7 Experience Index (for graphics) went from a 3.6 to a 7.6. Haven't maxed it out yet so I can't comment on advanced performance.

Cons: None yet...

Overall Review: It's a beast in terms of size and power requirements so be aware if you have and older power supply with limited number of connectors (I'll be upgrading this week). I had to rearrange some other internal components to get it to fit in my tower to include stealing the 4-port power connector from my DVD-burner to meet the card's recommended power setup. This is nothing new when adding these but just know that it may not be a simple plug and play on your motherboard or power supply.

Pros: Cards work as advertised. Framerates for all my games have signifigantly increased relative to my old NVidia 8800 GT. I get average framerates of 200FPS in Source games w/ spikes at 299 and dips at 90. They are nice looking cards. I think the performance/money ratio is good. Great value.

Cons: These cards have a plastic cover for directing airflow through the heat sink, and while it looks nice, it can cause interference problems on your main board. I ended up cutting some of the plastic in order to fit a card into my secondary PCI-E slot. (Main Board: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P) Installation instructions contradict the hardware supplied. The instructions say, "HIS does not recommend the use of two 4-pin to one 6-pin power cables". But they only provide you with the power cables that they explicitly advise you not to use. Each card comes with two such adapter cables and not a single pci-e power cable in sight. HMM?

Overall Review: I can't wait to see how these cards perform overclocked.

Pros: crossfire two of theese it looks bad $@$. both O.C. @ 950 mhz with 1200mhz memory

Cons: my experience index dropped from 7.7 to 6.3 when I added the second card? but everything runs better? thats like me rating this card 5 eggs but eveyone else sees only 3?there is a rediculous amount of question marks in this review?

Overall Review: disble ultra low power state (ULPS) in your registry if using cross fire otherwise you may think your second card is broken

Pros: Great card all the way around. Price, quality, ect.

Cons: None really but its a long card. Some mother boards could with a raised south bridge might have an issue.
