Pros: Super easy install. Acronis True Image is packaged with drive for easy migration. Now for the fun part, This drive is absolutely amazing. Crystal Disk Mark scored this right at the advertised speeds (just a hare under by 11mbs on the read which could be anything with a 2gb test and the write was right around the 674mbs range. Well over advertising) Have to say for the price this drive is an excellent expansion to any system. Cons: Cant find any yet other than my computer illiterate coworkers aren't oo'ing and aww'ing because of how awesome this thing is
Overall Review: Was a little nervous about buying the drive, but now that it has been in and running for a couple of days I have no regrets what so ever.
Pros: heard problems with win 10. I upgraded from win 8 on this and it went fine. Not a clean install. but it works and is fast
Cons: none
Overall Review: i wouyld recomend this over m.2 so its off the board and can get more airflow
Pros: Very fast. My measured CrystalDiskmark speed topped 1000 megabytes per second, as my memory serves me. Very easy to install. Plenty of storage capacity for my needs.
Cons: Be aware that IF you have to install Windows 10, you MUST download a firmware upgrade for this drive.
Overall Review: Buy it.
Pros: All I can say is blistering fast! Win 10 boots in under 14 seconds! It was an easy set up on a new build. Motherboard detected it right away. Used a USB drive to install windows. It was painless and the fastest Win install ever! Get it. Worth every dollar.
Cons: None
Pros: 1431 MBps read 697.3 MBps write... wow...
Cons: a little pricey compared to a regular sata ssd but reads are 3x faster so considering the amazing performance its worth the money
Overall Review: How does newegg get this to me from CA to FL in 1 day with free shipping? incredible
Pros: Despite the warnings on the site, Windows 10 did install fresh very well. Cold boot time is about the time it takes to blink. The sheer speed and ease of install trumps the small cons listed below.
Cons: Trying to get a Windows 7 to 10 upgrade done was a massive 2 full day ordeal. Finally I ran across a neat trick that solved everything. The card didn't play will with my case (CM Scout II), it was just a few mm off from being able to screw it down without putting tension on the slot...its just sitting there loose in the slot currently. I don't plan on moving my case, but something to remember. Also runs a little hot based on temp readings, but its never come close to dangerous levels. With WC blocks on the GPU and CPU, its officially the warmest thing in the case.
Overall Review: The install hangs on a Win10 upgrade were obnoxious. Almost 20 separate attempts at ~40 minutes each and I was about ready to use a mechanical HDD to get the job done. However, you can get the ISO Win10 installer and run a program that generates a "Genuineticket.xml" key on your Win7 install. You save this key to a USB stick, and throw it in your completely clean Win10 and everything verifies fine.
Pros: 1. Very Fast 2. Recognized by BIOS instantly 3. No Need for Adaptor if you have M.2 slot on your motherboard 4. Compact and doesn't need power supply cables 5. Windows Boot time is non existent
Cons: Non I can think of
Overall Review: Great size to install your OS on, No issues with Windows 10, Installation was a breeze. If you have the money this should be your first choice as your primary drive for OS
Pros: 1138 MB/s read 656.7 MB/s write in PCIe 2.0X4 slot. Windows recognized without drivers. Old motherboard recognized as hard disk. Comes with free OEM Acronis that is probably useful for some. Nice packaging.
Cons: none, I just wonder if I stuck one of those Samsung XP941s in this if I would get better write. Maybe I'll find out.
Overall Review: I put this in an older (~2010) Supermicro X8DAL-i dual 1366 Workstation that cost a fortune when it was new. I had a Crucial 240GB SSD that was getting 200 MB/s or so. I had a performance bottleneck in certain situations due to disk write, this has cleared those up. I think this computer will get another year or two now.
