Black Friday 2018 is here, and it’s time to buy a new PC, upgrade what you already have, or grab some extra goodies to enhance your gaming experience.

Remember that during this time of year, prices and availability change fast. The information in this article was accurate at the time of publication, but it’s subject to change.

Full Systems

Acer Aspire 7 17.3” gaming laptop – $979.99

acer gaming laptop black friday

This laptop is an interesting deal. The main appeal is that it comes with a GTX 1060 6GB GPU and an 8th gen six core i7-8750H clocked at 2.20 GHz (4.1 GHz turbo boost), which are specs that usually come in at a much higher price point. It is also packing 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 17.3” IPS screen.

Its main drawback here is the system’s sole 256 GB SSD. A big fat AAA game can be up to 50GB, so you’ll probably only be able to have one or two downloaded at a time. Unlike many other gaming laptops, it lacks dual storage, so you might want to consider additional external storage to make this system work for you.

Think of this laptop like a Porsche. All you can fit inside is yourself and a bag of groceries, but you’ll get home fast.

ABS Gem Gaming Desktop PC with GeForce RTX 2080 and i7-8700 – $1599.99

Pre-built systems packing an RTX 2080 with similar specs usually cost a few hundred dollars more, but through the power of Black Friday magic, this unit only costs $1599.99. While its 8700 is not overclockable, it still comes in at a zippy 3.2GHz and the included RTX 2080 lets you start ray-tracing without breaking the bank.

ABS also gives you a pretty snazzy looking case, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, a 240 GB SSD, 1TB HD, and a keyboard and mouse on top of all that.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Master with Ryzen 5 2600 and GTX 1050 Ti – $599.99

This is a sweet budget system that will keep you in decent frame rates at 1080p, and leave some room for upgrading down the road. It sports the very decent mid-range Ryzen 5 2600, which includes six cores clocked at 3.4GHz, along with the budget 1050 Ti. And it all comes in a snazzy looking white case, with keyboard and mouse included.

If you want to dip your toe into the world of PC gaming, this is a nice place to start.

And 750W is enough for most beefy gaming builds while providing power to spare.

Samsung 970 EVO 1TB NVMe M.2 – $227.99

This drive was recently retailing for closer to $275 and represents a terrific deal at its current price point. If your motherboard has an M.2 slot, Samsung makes some of the fastest, most reliable solid state storage on the market. NVMe tech in an M.2 slot represents some of the fastest read/write speeds available to consumers, at a whopping 3400/2500MBps. For owners of AMD GPUs, this is a great deal. FreeSync means that your monitor won’t suffer from tearing, providing a better gaming experience. Combine this with a budget gaming PC, and you’ll be in good shape.

Games

Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Pass – $80

Forza Horizon 4 Edinburgh Race

The Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 4 includes absolutely everything for the driving game of the year. This cost $100 at launch, and I spent a long time contemplating whether I should get it. If it was $80, it wouldn’t have even been a question. And it shouldn’t be for you either. If you like driving fast, this is the game for you.
