*UPDATE: Melonie Mac is no longer participating in this event. Pro gamer Kat Gunn will be there in her place.

Motherboards equipped with Intel’s 9-series chipset won’t be released until May 11, but Newegg is the only U.S. retailer that is shipping select Z97 and H97 motherboards and is taking pre-orders on several more models. Intel hasn’t unveiled the official specs yet, but we do know what to expect from certain 9-series motherboard models. One of these is GIGABYTE’s, who will partner up with Newegg on May 12 to officially launch their new Gaming Series motherboards at our City of Industry Hybrid Center.

“Newegg is excited to partner with Gigabyte to support the launch of its new motherboard designed for Intel’s upcoming 9-series chipset. We’re also proud to serve as the sole retailer for the new motherboard. We’re happy to give fans their first opportunity to come and check out the new hardware in-person at the Newegg Hybrid Center.”

— Soren Mills, Chief Marketing Officer of Newegg North America

Our Hybrid Center will be the place to be if you want to see Gigabyte’s motherboard in action. We’ll be having a professional overclocking “how-to” demonstration by Steven Bassiri, a LAN party where you can compete against pro gamer Kat Gunn, and a raffle where you win tickets to Power 106’s PowerHouse. We’ll also have free food truck catering for the first 75 people who show up, so get there early! For those that can’t make it out to City of Industry, you can tune into Newegg’s Twitch.tv channel and watch all the key events.

GIGABYTE’s Gaming Series motherboards have plenty of features that make it one of the best. If you’re serious about gaming, this is the motherboard for you!

The Newegg Hybrid Center is located at: 18045 Rowland Street, City of Industry, CA, 91748.

Those interested in attending the event can RSVP here.
