Overall Review: * Replace the stock fan with a Scythe SY124010L. They are whisper quiet. * This is the third computer I've built with this board. * Know what this board is. Don't expect to game. Don't expect HD video decoding. Don't expect intense muliti-tasking. BUT... * This board actually runs Vista quite well. I'm running Vista Business on two computers. Ubuntu 9.04 is running on the third. * I highly recommend this board!

Pros: My Kill-a-watt meter says it's using 27W under load with a picoPSU, 2GB DDR2, no HD or CD, and running live distros from a multi-boot USB flash. DSL. SLAX, and Puppy Linux run very fast.... everything happens instantly. intel has eaten VIA's lunch.

Cons: 40mm 5CFM NB fan is too loud... about 35dB. North Bridge chip burns about 17W. Mature drivers for the 945 chipset are a plus, but intel has dropped the ball in failing to provide a low-power NB chip.

Overall Review: I just took out the 40mm fan and pointed an 18dB 20CFM 80mm at the heatsink. Cool'n'quiet. Next step is to nLite XP to a Transcend 300x SLC CF. I don't like any of the itx cases I've seen, so I used the box it came in as a case. Fits perfectly ;-)

Pros: Low power, duo core, good support, I didn't have any problem loading fedora 10, or vista ultimate on this board. This might seen carzy but I think Vista runs really good on this board, every thing works (on board vga, svideo works well under vista) Fedora 10 has problems with the svideo its a known bug with xorg.

Cons: The north bridge fan is a little loud, I replaced it with another 40mm fan (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835191002) just make sure you get a 40mmx40mmx10mm fan.

Overall Review: I put this together for my bedroom, nice little cheap HTPC setup, plays all my video collection with out any problems, mpeg, divix, avi, mp3. this turned out pretty good, I was thinking about getting one of them popcorn hours, glad i went this route, i have so much more for just 50 dollar more. Pros: The best PC i have ever used for a home server. Quiet, Power Efficient, Fast. I have apache, mysql, rtorrent, samba along with several other "Heavy" deamons running on this box, and it still runs at .01 load for most of the time. I would recommend this box for anyone who needs a small server/media center.

Cons: The stock fan is really loud under load. I think the fan speed is driven by the cpu load, and not the cpu temperature.

Overall Review: This board has been happily running for 6 months with 10-15 minute downtimes every month or so. Have not had any problems.

Pros: Tiny, Low Power, Quiet Boots Windows 2k and up, Mac OS X (Hackintosh), Linux, etc. Snappy, especially for the price.

Cons: Older chipset pulls more power than it could. Could use 2 more SATA. Some glitches with disk utilities and small Linux LiveCDs (DSL).

Overall Review: My whole system pulls 46 watts with 62-watt surge on boot. Accidentally booted Win 2k from the old hard drive I first used. Shows up as four cores in Mac (two with HyperThreading)

Pros: Great little board, bought it to make a light duty server running Windows Home Server, and it does it well. Incorporated it into a little box with an 80 GB Seagate for the primary os install and two 500 GB Western Digital drives for storage. With the dual core atom it actually shows up as four processors. This little thing really cruises for something with such a minimal power draw.

Cons: Noisy little chipset fan, went from bad to worse in a matter of two weeks. Intel will not let you replace your chipset fan; you must RMA the board through them. Only has two sata drive ports, wished they would dump the IDE connector in favor of adding two more sata ports.

Overall Review: Intel get with the program and put a quality chipset fan on this board, it would only cost you a dollar more to put a maglev fan from sunon on it and save all the pain and hassle that you cost the customers in the future.

Cons: Fan went out within 2 weeks of buying it. Why put legacy ports on this board( does anyone need parallel, serial, and ps2 anymore?)?

Pros: fights global warming (low power consumption) currently runs home server/print server/internet station 24/7. Very happy. Ample performance running xubuntu with grub set for hyperthreading + compiz + 2 gig of RAM. Nice machine.

Cons: 39 cent gnat-whine northbridge fan in otherwise fanless package. Use the suggestion in these comments that someone made and glue a zalman northbridge heatsink on the top of the northbridge. Processor seems hot? Specs say don't exceed 85C and CPU reads between 60-70C without running any fan in the box but the power supply fan and northbridge heat sink.

Overall Review: Runs xubuntu 8.10 with compiz beautifully. It's a nimble and unbloated machine. Careful setting some of those options in compiz though, the graphics card is nothing to write home about.
