Does it communicate with printer? If yes, how?

I am using a powered hub out of the single USB port.  This is to give one a good number of USB ports for reasonable operation, and not draw down the stick power supply.  I am using a USB/ethernet adapter to my modem.  This is because Win 8.1 keeps cutting off the wireless connection.  Major problem Win 8.1.  So the simple answer is , ethernet to modem, modem to cloud computer.  However one should be able to go from the stick with a USB cable out of a powered hub to a local printer.

Question 2

Just rec'd item. First time turning on it requests I login as Other User. Since this is the first time I'm logging in it should allow for new user setup. Since I've not setup a password I just tried any user name and it states the user name or password is not correct. If I press Reset password It states this feature requires removable media such as a USB flash drive. Of course I would have to unplug my keyboard to connect a flash drive. So has anyone else actually used this item. What did you do to log in?

I tried using an existing Microsoft account but was unsuccessful. It would not accept the same credentials (email address and password) that I use to login into the microsoft account on other PCs. I even tried typing Administrator and Guest and rec'd message Your account has been disabled. Please see your system adiministrator. I tried a resetting the PC and rec'd error message " There was a problem resetting your PC. Next I tried add a user at the command prompt and it would still not accept that user.  If I don't receive any other suggestions soon I will be returning it for an exchange.

Is this HDMI 1.1 or HDMI 2.0? (i.e. can it drive 4k?)

Assuming the processor is still the same CPU (Intel Atom Z3735F) that was announced at CES in January, the specifications indicate it supports HDMI 1.4.

Looking for a Bluetooth 4.0 Smart TV remote with Keyboard that is comapatble with the COMPUSTICK. Something close to the size of a regular remote. Any good suggestions? Thanks.

Hapurs® Portable Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard/mousepad. This keyboard includes an IR function for TV remote.  However, it is a small keyboard, not the size of a TV remote.  Unfortunately, I have not used it with the Intel Compute Stick yet (why I purchased it), as I am still waiting for mine to arrive. It works with my Android devices and the TV IR remote works with my Sony TV and FIOS set top box.

Can I run Office 365 from this  ie. Word, Excel , Power point and the like?

Yes, you can run Office 365 application as it has 2 GB RAM and Quad Core Atom Processor with 2 MB Cache. But be sure about running multiple applications as its tiny computer not a workstation.

Yes, it has an HDMI connector.  You plug it into your TV so that the TV is your monitor.

So I take it the keyboard and mouse will be either wireless or bluetooth?  Can the memory be expanded?

Will this connect to DisplayPort? Is there a specific dongle for that?

I haven't received my device yet since it is still in preorder but I'm pretty sure it is meant to plug into HDMI ports.

Will it be able to upgrade to Windows 10 when it comes out and will it be free as well?

Yes, Windows 10 will be a free update from any consumer grade Windows 8 computer for one year.

Question 10

Does this run a full version of Windows or a stripped down version? I want to basically know if I am able to install other applications than what is found in the Microsoft App Store. I believe that was Windows RT. Does anyone know?

This is running the full version of Windows 8.1. The only difference is that it is Windows 8.1 with Bing, meaning that the manufacturer must ship the device with Bing as Internet Explorers default search engine. You are able to change the default search engine yourself with no consequences.
