Excellent cooling combined with great performance1/10/2022 9:26:41 PM
Pros: I had terrible overheating when I tried to upgrade to 10th gen and 11th gen. I waited for 12th gen non-K CPU's to get the best possible thermals. 12400F is currently the top of value/performance, mine runs stable at 30 C idle and around 45 C in CS:GO using Phanteks GlacierOne 240 AIO installed in Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 (which is an overkill for this CPU, but I was going for an all-white build). I reused my old Corsair DDR4 memory, no issues.
Cons: Armoury Crate would not install for some reason.
Overall Review: Definitely recommended. I would buy 12400F again or 12100F, both excellent choices for casual gaming while running at low temperature.

Best Bang for the Buck CPU1/28/2022 8:06:17 AM
Pros: -good gaming performance
-4.0 ghz all core sustained boost
-good temps compared to other 12th gen chips
Cons: -no efficiency cores
-no integrated graphics
-stock cooler is noisy under heavy loads
Overall Review: - Recommended for a budget multi-generational upgrade. Twice as fast as my haswell i5, and eliminated my processor bottleneck.
Pros: Nothing comes close at this pricepoint performance-wise.
Cons: Cooler is better than my 8th gen but I would still invest in a good aftermarket cooler. Too noisy and temps over 80c
Overall Review: Would buy again, awesome cpu.

exactly 2x the speed of a ryzen 5 26002/19/2022 6:59:10 AM
Pros: + Extremely powerful
+ Less expensive than a competing AMD cpu
+ Great upgrade
Cons: - No integrated graphics, should not matter if you have a gpu or do not use
Overall Review: All I can say is it is a great cpu. From my testing, it is almost exactly double the speed of a ryzen 2600, so if you are running anything before zen or zen+ this is the time to upgrade.

AMD Who?6/19/2022 6:55:29 AM
Pros: You can play any game with it. Period.
Cons: It can't be overclocked "officially"
Overall Review: Great gaming CPU for the price, nothing else compares.
Pros: Included stock cooler performs more than adequately for this.
Great gaming performance
Strong enough multi-threaded performance for my use case.
Cons: Included stock cooler actually overhangs the nearest DIMM when used on an ITX board.
Overall Review: I was uncertain of the quality of the stock cooler, based on other reviews here. However i believe they may have had inadequately mounted the cooler. I was seeing temps of idle around 40c, load around 60c, Which varies greatly with what some have said about this cooler.
As for the chip itself, i was looking for similar performance to my 9900KF at lower thermal load so i could downsize. This fit that bill.
for under $500 CAD, the H670M-ITX/AX and this chip bundled together is a solid ITX build for gaming, without needing extra cooling in most cases.
