Overall Review: Works like it says on the box.
Pros: Cheaper than i9
Cons: Not 12th gen
Overall Review: I decided to keep one of the z590 boards I won with a shuffle card, and this gives me access to PCIe 4. Small gains over the 9900k it replaced and sadly still runs about the same temperature.
Pros: Newegg shipped express without request. Newegg is the best place for computer parts online that i know of.
CPU works perfect dropped in and ready to go, I haven't overclocked yet but 5GHz will keep the processor competitive in the future.
Overall Review: excellent seller excellent processor.
Pros: Runs my games great, almost as well as my other system running a Ryzen 7 5800X. No real difference in day-to-day usage responsiveness despite fewer cores. The difference in gaming can probably be attributed to the AMD system having a better GPU. (6900 XT vs RTX 3070)
I needed an upgrade for my secondary system and chose this over the 5600X because it was less expensive when factoring in the motherboard also.
My 10 year old CM Hyper 212 works on it, (with a newer fan - original fan for it died years ago) and keeps it cool enough at stock settings.
One thing I like about Intel is that I rarely have any issues out of the box with their platforms, unlike AMD - while I've never had any major issues with AMD either, they just seem to have little "teething issues" that take a while to get resolved, usually with BIOS/UEFI updates.
Cons: Runs hot and causes the fan on the heatsink to roar as soon as any load is applied (fixed by changing the fan curve in the UEFI)
Terrible Intel cooler mounting system
No stock cooler included (not really a con, you couldn't use that thing to cool this hot running beast anyway)
Overall Review: I'd recommend it if it were cheaper than the AMD alternatives - otherwise go with the AMD for the increased power efficiency. Despite this I'm happy with my choice.
Runs very well on:
ASRock H570M PRO4 motherboard
2x 16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3000
ASUS RTX 3070 Dual + ASUS ROG 750w Strix PSU (came bundled with the video card)
Reminder that since this is an "F" model you WILL need a video card of some kind as there are no integrated graphics!
Overall Review: Great CPU, MW2 was a nice bonus!
Pros: très rapide
Cons: pas défaut
Overall Review: Je recommande ce processeur très rapide
Pros: Fast CPU, handles everything I would throw at it
Cons: Makes so much heat
Overall Review: I'd seen that these were hot CPUs but I didn't appreciate how hot. Intel really needs to get TDP under control.
Pros: Lots of power.
Cons: Too hot for my old aircooler.
Overall Review: Was a bit too hot for my likes under my old air cooler from my old i5, upgraded the cooler to an AIO, and never gets above 68. Works great, but splurge on a good cooler
