On time and awesome! 6/23/2019 11:37:41 AM

Pros: Delivery was when it was advertised. I saved $400 vs buying from a big box retailer. The delivery guy was very helpful.

Cons: I bought a separate ground cover as the one that comes with it is very thin.

Overall Review: Read and follow the installation procedures. Makes things go much easier...

Better than inground 6/5/2019 8:00:59 PM

Pros: my family got one of these 7 summers ago and it is still doing great. The size is huge for an above ground and big for an inground, this one puts the circular above grounds to shame. The liner is tough! only found our first tiny hole in the liner this summer and that was fixed with a $7 vinyl patch from 'insert online retailer here'. We take ours down for fall and winter and put it back up for summer. It is not too bad to setup, your first time will be slow but once you know what you are doing its easy (takes us 3-4 hours to put up/take down, make your own chart of which pipes go where and label them with perm marker cause the stickers will fall off). Pro-tip: put wd-40 on the frame pipes that go in the liner sleeves, after a whole season they can stick together. The pump/sand filter/chlorinator (going to need to put in 11 bags of salt for initial setup at $6 a bag) all work really well and are only a $115 or so to replace each component (not sure if this listing includes all those parts, but they are easy to find). We even bought a pool light to go in there. Since the rim sits so high almost no leaves or grass cuttings get in the pool so maintenance is easy. I can't church up this pool enough, i used it to swim laps for exercise and lost a lot of weight.

Cons: -You do have to be mindful that it is not a concrete pool, so when walking around the edge where the liner slopes up just don't stomp with your foot or you might damage it.
-The ladder that comes with it is RICKETY and rusted out within 2 years. We ended up buying some really nice pool steps from a 3rd party, recommend getting that off the bat (were 160 a piece, one inside the pool one outside).
-Though the pump/sand filter/chlorinator/skimmer work very well they do have a habit of dying after 2.5 years and will have to be replace. This was not a big problem for us becauase each componant is around $100 so we maybe spent an extra $500 over 7 years of vigorous use which is still micro compared to the costs of fixing an inground pool system (used to have a house with one and paid a pool company $60 PER MONTH just to keep it running so this system is a steal).
-you need a big yard and some landscaping can't hurt, we put down some pavers around it to walk on.
-your yard needs to be kinda flat and its best to put stones under the struts so they don't sink into the ground
-The footprint under the pool (if its grass) will die (true for all above grounds). It's also highly encouraged to put down some sand before setup so there is a nice flat surface for you to walk on while in the pool (anything jagged like a rock could puncture the liner so watch out.
-since we took ours down each year you might need a space to store the liner, we just fold it hot dog style then hamburger style until its about 6' x 6' and kept it in the garage.

Overall Review: I highly recommend this pool if your not allergic to a great above ground pool. Probably the best thing (and why its still going strong) is that every single part can be replaced and purchased individually either from Intex themselves or 'insert online retailer here'. We have replaced almost everything except the liner and for very cheap. I wil never again pay for an inground pool when I can use one of these...
