Features | The GCS1204 is another revolutionary addition to Iogear's market leading KVM product line. It is a 4-port Dual Link DVI KVMP switch with stereo audio ports and an integra ted 2-port USB 2.0 hub. Now, users can control up to four computers and share multiple USB peripherals from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse console. It features the display emulation technology making the switch intelligent to read and remember the monitor's optimal display parameters and refresh rate, a function critical in today's graphic intense applications where large wide screen displays (up to 30") are used. The GCS1204 supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2400. Additionally, the paten ted asynchronous switching allows the user to independently switch applications between the connec ted computers. You can run one application on one computer while running another application on the other. Moreover, the integra ted 2-port USB 2.0 hub is available for each computer to share multiple peripherals connec ted to the hub or via an external powered USB 2.0 hub. Access to such peripherals is performed on a one-at-a-time basis. Finally, the audio ports allow for connecting powered PC speakers for stereo sound and a single microphone for audio input/output to each computer. |

Pros: Best KVM I've owned. I've had a few different ones, but this is the first DVI unit I've tried. I have a home-built Vista machine, a Lenovo laptop, and an Apple Mac Mini. All 3 work perfectly with this KVM. The really sweet feature is being able to just move the KVM focus to a different machine, while keeping the multimedia (speakers & microphone) focused on another. So, while I'm listening to iTunes from my Mac, I can be working on something on the Windows machine. You can also change the focus of the USB ports, although I haven't had a need for that yet. I know this unit is expensive, but for me, it was worth every penny!
Cons: Nothing yet
