Sizes up to and including 5x7 fit a standard household washer; 6x9 and larger belong in a laundromat machine, or can be spot cleaned and rinsed where they lie. Wash as often as the room needs. The design is woven into the fibre rather than printed on top, so it does not wash pale. Floors it suits. Hardwood, laminate, engineered wood, tile, vinyl plank and sealed concrete. The thin profile lets heat through, so it works over radiant underfloor heating, where a thick rug and pad would trap it. On wall-to-wall carpet, add a thin gripper pad to stop it creeping. Past the obvious living room: in front of the sink, along a galley run, under a dining table, in laundry rooms, nurseries, home offices, dorm rooms and rentals where nothing permanent is allowed. Sizes. 2x3, 3x5, 4x6, 5x7, 6x9, 8x10, 9x12 and 10x14, plus 2x7, 2x10 and 2x12 runners. Choosing one. Under a queen bed, 8x10 lets you step onto it on three sides; 9x12 does the same for a king. In a living room, 8x10 if the front legs of the seating sit on it, 9x12 if you want every leg on. At a dining table, allow 24 in clear on every side so chairs stay on when pulled out. On arrival.
