Kingston A1000 M.2 2280 240GB PCI-Express 3.0 x2 3D TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SA1000M8/240G

Pros: Fast, mine scored 1660 on the read test, 1060 on write. Not as good as Samsung 970 but for $100 less I'll take it anytime. On the average three times faster than regular sata SSD, I have a bunch of these running on PCI-e adapters, working great.

Pros: IS a very good NVME option for does that are in a budget (like me) I purchase the 1TB model and it give me +/- 1549mb sequential read and +/- 1041mb sequential write (from Cristal benchmark) , very good number for the 250US price that I pay (remember this is 1 TB other brands will cost much more but will be faster also.)

Cons: None, is slower that the Samsung but that not a con, this is a NVME budget option.

Overall Review: * crystalDisk: sequential read/write 1562/1044 * it doesn't feel much faster than sata ssd, i dont buy mechanical HDDs anymore * actual disk space in my 480gb version: approx 440gb * TLC drives more reliable and faster than QLC * budget nvme drive

Pros: It is fast. You want to load up chrome in a blink? Sure. Need to load a game quickly? Got you covered.

Cons: Want to put Windows however? Well good luck mate. So many failed attempts, so much time spent trying to get it to boot. NVMe drives sure do hate operating systems.

Overall Review: A 2.5" SATA SSD would do it better for a bigger size. It might be slower but at least you will be able to easily put Windows and have a better amount of gigabytes per dollar.
