I can't get this thing to work at all. I have a new windows 8 lenovo idea pad. I hear a chime when I plug and unplug the adapter. I can see a disk appear in disk management (Disk 1, unkown), but it says I need to initialize the disk and provides two options: MBR or GPT. No matter which I choose an error message appears that says the "disk is not ready". Any tips?

In the specs it states: Support OS: Win 2000/ME/XP/Vista/7, Mac OS 10x or Higher (no mention of Windows 8)

Anybody using it with Windows 8?
