Open compatible screw-top glass jars with less gripping and twisting. This battery-operated automatic jar opener is designed for seniors, people with weak hands, and users experiencing limited hand mobility. Its adjustable jaws move into position around the jar and lid, then the electric motor turns the lid through a one-touch opening cycle.
Use this opener only with screw-top glass jars. It is not designed for cans, plastic containers, or jars with irregular or conical shapes. Wipe the jar body dry, place it on a stable surface, and keep one hand lightly on top of the opener during operation.
If the opener becomes stuck, replace the battery first. Hold the switch for 3 seconds to restart the motor, then press the switch quickly 58 times. If it remains stuck, wear non-slip gloves, tilt the unit approximately 30 degrees to the right, and gently pull it outward.
Does this electric jar opener work for seniors with weak or arthritic hands?
It uses one-touch operation and an automatic opening cycle to reduce the gripping and twisting associated with manual jar openers.
What types of jars can it open?
It is intended for most compatible screw-top glass jars, including jars with tight or vacuum-sealed lids. Do not use it on cans, plastic containers, or irregular or conical jars.
Do I need to hold it while it operates?
Keep one hand lightly on top to stabilize the unit and help prevent tilting during the opening cycle.
Why does it continue running after the lid opens?
The jaws must return to their starting position before the opener shuts off automatically, which may take several seconds.
What should I do if it becomes stuck?
Install a fresh battery, hold the switch for 3 seconds, and then press it quickly 58 times. If needed, use non-slip gloves and follow the specified 30-degree release procedure.
