R-12SW Subwoofer
Powered by an all-digital amplifier, the Klispch R-12SW subwoofer unleashes breathtaking output and extension without ever sacrificing driver control or frequency response accuracy. And the classic design paired with a removable grille makes this subwoofer a great addition to any room.

THAT QUIVER YOU FEEL IS LOVE.
AND BASS.
The R-12SW features a 12-inch copper-spun IMG driver that provides remarkably low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion. The built-in all-digital amplifier delivers ample power with high efficiency and true-to-source accuracy in reproduction. The low pass crossover and phase control allows you to blend the subwoofer’s low-frequency tones with other Klipsch speakers as well as establish the ideal level of bass.
The R-12SW is housed in a durable MDF cabinet and finished with a brushed black polymer veneer. The front-mounted LED power indicator lets you know when the system is powered on or off. You’ve been warned.

Features:
- Powerful 12" copper-spun front-firing woofer
- All-digital amplifier delivers 400 watts of dynamic power
- Equally impressive with music and movies
- Low pass crossover and phase control
- Line/LFE inputs for compatibility with most receivers
- Dimensions: 16" H x 14" W x 18.5" D
- Brushed black polymer veneer cabinet
Pros: -good clean output above 30hz -distortion is less than 5% at max output -smallish size helps with placement flexibility -very good "thump" that can cause chest slam -great if you're a fan of copper drivers -the finish is nice to the touch -price (when less than $200)
Cons: -output crashes hard below 30hz -probably best for music or near the seating position
Overall Review: I'm using this behind my seating position to fill in a null in my system. I've included some unequalized (50% gain) REW sweeps on the max output. While there is some room interaction here, the microphone is at the main seating position and about 2ft away. You can see the advertised 116db max output isn't out of the question. However the frequency response really crashes below 30hz. While this will be fine for tv watching and music. One will be missing out if used for home theater, but it should be fine for the casual movie watcher.
