Pros: Don't be fooled into thinking this small 8" woofer isn't worth it. The bass is clear and punches beautifully! Love the crossover and auto on features. This unit's bass is best for hard music (rap & rock) and movie / game sound effects.
Cons: There has only been one song where it seemed to turn on a little later than it should have. Also, this is more of a punch bass vs a smooth bass. I've never found a sub that does both exceedingly well (and I'm not paying for super high end). The people who claim their unit does usually are not true audiophiles (I consider myself a novice). For example, my 12" Sony SA-WM40 from 1998 is more smooth bass -- perfect for classical music's woods & strings -- which is where the Klipsch falls down. And on the flip-side, my Sony does not do the punch bass nearly as well as the Klipsch.
Overall Review: If you can find it on-sale like I did, this is an outstanding unit! Used 4-days a week for 1-4hrs/day for 2-mo w/o issue. Someday, I'd like to find the perfect sub that does both forms of bass (if it does exist -- that's my 5-egg device). My wallet will need to grow first. 😏
