No. It's not a touchscreen. The screen is actually pretty low res (1366x7680 for today's standards, but it does the job.

My cousins has been saying that Lenovo is not a good brand but when I look for reviews on Lenovo laptops they all seem pretty decent 4 or more stars. I'm asking is this laptop good for semi-gaming? I already have a dedicated desktop for gaming but I'd be using this computer for more or less school work and some gaming which would probably be on low setting. I play mostly League of Legends and World of Warcraft. I also tend to take care of my electronic items as if they were my children so I try to make them last as long as they can.

This laptop is totally fine for semi-gaming. I have a custom desktop PC where I do most of my gaming, but I was headed out of town for 3 weeks and knew I'd be bored out of my mind. So I bought this laptop and it runs League of Legends and World of Warcraft (which are my main two games too) totally fine. Obviously it doesn't run as amazing as on a custom or high-end desktop PC, but it runs seriously smooth. I ran League and WoW on half-max graphics and never had any lag or framerate issues.

Word of advice though: In the settings you can choose to disable the mouse track pad when you have another mouse plugged in. I would suggest doing that. During my first game or two of League, my palm would touch the trackpad and my cursor would freak out. As soon as I found that option to disable the trackpad when I have a mouse plugged in though, everything was awesome.

So yeah, in short I'd give the laptop a 9/10 - 10/10 for the price I paid and being able to do what I wanted it to do. As far as a gaming laptop in general goes, it's probably a 6/10 - 7/10 because it would probably have trouble with super intense games. But with games like League and WoW it runs them no problem. And the price is hard to beat.

Is the update from Win 8 to win 8.1 free for this PC?

Yes, you have to let it fully update windows 8 first them go to the windows store app and there is a large upgrade button for a free upgrade.

You get the full Windows 8 and the free update to 8.1. RT can be found on the Surface line.

does come with disks to reboot if crash?

Accepted Answer

No it doesn't.  You will need to create a set of recovery disks.  It has a built in feature they call "one button recovery"  haven't had to use it thankfully.  Its has been a good laptop, I have purchased 4 of these for people at my work.  No real complaints yet.

how heavy is this notebook?

I can carry it around in one hand while also holding my two yr old daughter. So I don't find it to heavy at all. I had a 2008 Dell Inspiron and the Lenovo is exceptionally lighter.

How does this computer handle extended use? Such as gaming for hours or working for hours? Does it overheat easily?

I've used it for more than 8 hours at a time and I've had no problems with overheating. Quite honestly, I was surprised that it didn't heat up very much at all.  I play simulation and rts games along with surfing the web and office applications among other things and I am very satisfied with the performance I've gotten from this notebook.

Will the laptop be good with titanfall & the new batman game, batman arkham knight?

Im sorry to say but I dont think this laptop will be good for those 2 games. Those 2 games are very graphic intensive and although this laptop has a solid graphics card, its still an integrated card.
